Bacha Khan Medical college Mardan is one of the public sector Medical College of North West Frontier Provice (NWFP).It has been named after the great freedom fighter of the soil, Khan Abdul Ghafar Khan known as Bacha khan.It has been reflected as ADP No.161 (2008-09) under the establishment of BKMC Mardan.

Immediate requirements for infrastructure , equipments and human resources has been completed. MBBS First Year classes will start in december 2009.Students 1st year (Boys & Girls) are selected through joint admission committee at Khyber Medical College Peshawar, according to thier Merit and choice.
Permanent Building for BKMC will start soon in the premises of Mardan Medical complex Mardan.which has been notified as its Teaching Hospital.
formal request has been made to the PMDC , through Ministry of Health for NOC / Recognition for BKMC Mardan.
After getting NOC from PMDC , Bacha Khan Medical College will get affliated to Khyber Medical University Peshawar.
